NASHVILLE, TN – East Bladen grad Larrell Murchison was named to the Tennessee Titans 53-man roster that was released Saturday as National Football League teams faced a deadline to reduce their 80-man training camp rosters.

The roster can still be adjusted before the Titans open the season on September 14 against Denver. However Murchison who was drafted in the fifth round with the 174th overall pick is expected to see playing time on the defensive line for Tennessee.

The 6-2, 297-pound N. C. State grad signed a 4-year contract worth $3.572 million with the Titans who kept all of their draft picks on the 53-man roster except for 7th round pick Cole McDonald.

Tennessee reached the American Football Conference championship game a year ago before falling to Super Bowl champion Kansas City. The Titans were 9-7 in regular season play then defeated New England and Baltimore in the play-offs.
