Here are Three Things to Know for Sunday, November 8:
1. Brad Keselowski, Chase Elliott, Denny Hamlin and Joey Logano will race for the NASCAR Cup championship today in the Season Finale 500 at Phoenix Raceway. Keselowski and Logano are past champions. It’s scheduled for a 3 p.m. start and will be broadcast by NBC TV and the MRN radio network.
2. Government meetings scheduled Monday include Bladen County Board of Commissioners, Bladen County Board of Education, Bladenboro Board of Commissioners and East Arcadia Board of Commissioners.
3. Lower Cape Fear LifeCare’s Hope for the Holidays Grief Workshop begins Thursday, 1-2:30 p.m. The no-cost virtual grief workshop is for people coping with the death of a loved one and anticipating the holiday season.
