One Super Bowl Scramble golf tournament has moved its shotgun start up an hour while another has canceled its planned Saturday event because of expected rain in the forecast.

Amy Bailey of Vineyard Golf at White Lake has announced its Super Bowl Two-Man Texas Scramble will be begin with a shotgun start at 11 a.m., moving the tee time an hour earlier from the original scheduled.

Regular players will play the white tees while seniors (65 and older) will play the gold tees. All ladies will play the red tees.

There will be chicken bog and prizes following play.

The course is located on U.S. 701 between Elizabethtown and White Lake. For information, call 910-247-6132.

Meanwhile, Land ‘O Lakes Golf Course near Whiteville has canceled its scramble tournament that was scheduled Saturday because of the weather forecast.

In an email, the course said it would schedule another event in March to replace the Super Bowl Scramble event.
