A boutique carrying unique, hand-crafted pieces has set up shop in downtown Bladenboro. Bella Bee Designs offers stylish and trendy jewelry, accessories, hats, clothing, and more.
“Bella is the inspiration for Bella Bee Designs! After leaving for college, Mom [April Storms-Britt] was an empty-nester and needed something to fulfill her time – hence hand-crafting unique Bella Bee Designs! Bella is the buyer, while Mom is the crafter, making the perfect combination,” explained owner April Storms-Britt.
With April’s history in the fashion and modeling industry, and Bella’s sense of style and knowledge as a Marketing major at UNCW, the mother-daughter pair makes a great team.
Bella Bee Designs started with pop-up shows and storing and selling merchandise from their home, but they have grown their business since their start. “We needed another home for our merchandise,” April said. Now, the business has called a storefront on Main Street in Bladenboro “home.” However, the store will continue to pop-up at events.
Boost the Boro will hold a Grand Opening Ceremony for the boutique on Saturday at 4 pm.
