ELIZABETHTOWN – East Columbus defeated East Bladen 3-1 Tuesday night in a non-conference season-opening volleyball match.
The Lady Gators won the first 2 sets 25-18 and 25-21, before the Lady Eagles rallied to take the third set 25-19. East Columbus squeaked out the victory by a narrow 26-24 margin in the fourth set.
East Columbus swept the jayvee match 2-0.
East Bladen will travel to St. Pauls Thursday for a 4:30 match.
