BLADENBORO – East Columbus defeated West Bladen 3-0 Monday night in non-conference volleyball action by set scores of 25-14, 25-18 and 25-12.
Junior Jenna McLean dished out 5 assists and knocked in 3 service points and an ace for the Lady Knights. Senior Makayla Wright slammed in 2 kills, 3 aces and 2 more service points. Senior Whitney McLean smashed in 4 kills.
Senior Emily Young hammered in 3 kills, a block, an ace and 1 service point for West. Senior Kaitlyn Brisson banged in 3 blocks and a kill. Junior Trinity Meares drilled in 2 aces, a kill and a service point.
Junior Maddie Walters smacked in 2 kills and 2 service points for West. Sophomore Alina Chavez pounded in 3 aces, and senior Kylie Durden was credited with 2 digs and a service point.
The Lady Knights close out the non-conference part of their scheduled Wednesday night at South Columbus.
