FAIRMONT – Senior Kiera Lewis and freshman Greer Pope teamed up to win 26 service points and lead West Bladen to a 3-0 Southeastern Athletic Conference volleyball victory over Fairmont Thursday by set scores of 25-11, 25-15 and 25-16.

Lewis smoked in 16 service points including an ace, 19 attacks, 4 kills, a block and had a dig. Pope delivered 10 service points, 15 assists, an attack and a dig. Senior Trinity Meares banged in 6 service points including an ace, 10 attacks, 3 kills and had 4 digs.

Lady Knight senior Maddie Walters smacked in 8 service points, 4 kills, 22 attacks and had 3 digs. Senior Jenna McLean pounded in 4 service points including 3 aces, 4 kills, 17 attacks and had 1 assist. Junior Marlie Walters drilled in 5 service points, 9 attacks, 2 kills and had a dig.

Junior Marlene Crabtree knocked in 18 attacks, 2 kills and had a dig for West. Sophomore Jaylyn Clark belted in 2 service points including an ace and 4 attacks. Sophomore Emme Bryant contributed 3 digs and an attack. Junior Holland Davis hammered in 2 attacks and a kill, and junior Alina Chavez slammed in an attack and a kill.

Coach Gaye Davis’ Lady Knights improved to 5-4 in SAC-6 play and 10-11 overall and will close out the regular season at home against Red Springs Tuesday night.
