The National Weather Service in Wilmington has provided a report on the upcoming week’s weather in our area. The report was issued this morning and summarizes the forecast for today through Friday.

Today, we will see our highest temperatures in the upper-60s, according to the NWS report. On Tuesday and Wednesday, low temperatures will be in the mid-40s, and high temperatures will be in the mid-70s. On Thursday, the forecast shows the low temperature around 50 degrees, and high in the mid-70s. Friday will be the warmest, with lows in the 60-degree-range and highs in the mid-70s.

The first part of the week will be mostly sunny. On Thursday, we will see more cloudiness and possible showers, and Friday will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers.

The overview states, “High pressure will bring mild conditions through Thursday. A cold front will bring the chance for just a few showers Thursday night into Friday.”

The National Weather Service shared that potential impacts include large astronomical tides producing “nuisance flooding”  in flood-prone areas today and tomorrow.
