For many visitors, The Red and White Store in White Lake is getting a make over just in time for the summer season.
“We didn’t operate it this past summer,” said Goldstone Womble.
However, he added that there are plans in place to operate the store this summer but not as a full-service type grocery store.
“We’re going to operate it, but it is not going to have a meat and produce section,” said Womble.
He added that the store will continue to offer residents and tourists such staples as deli meats, fruits, chips, milk, juice and camping supplies. Womble said that the store is undergoing some renovations including new flooring and closing off the area that once housed the meat market.
He said that the store will also continue to offer a variety of T-shirts as well.
