The Volunteer Fire Department held their semi-annual Pancake Breakfast at the White Oak Fire Department building Saturday beginning this service at 6 a.m.

Many people from the White Oak community came out to support their volunteers as well as to mingle and enjoy sharing breakfast with their community. The atmosphere was one of fellowship and the event was enjoyed by all.

The Fire Department is lead by Chief Tim Tatum, who also serves at East Bladen High School as the Fire Chief, and Ryan Varney, who serves as the President and Captain. Both men were happily serving their community and honored to do this twice a year to raise money and offer their community an outreach opportunity.

Hats off to these men and the other 30 Volunteers for a job well done!
