Three things to know for Saturday, August 6
1. The Fifty-Fifty Fear Factor Race fundraiser is set today at Dublin Motor Speedway. Events begin at 8 a.m. and continue until 2 p.m. Proceeds will be used to support Kiwanis’ Children’s programs and to help with needed repairs to the Bladen County EMS Training Facility at White Lake. 2. It’s Teachers and Nurses Night tonight at Dublin Motor Speedway. Racing will be held in Late Model, Crate Late Model, Open Wheel Modified, Super Street, Pure Stock and U-Car divisions. Pits open at 4 p.m. and grandstands at 5 p.m. Practice is set to begin about 6:30 p.m. followed by qualifying and the races.
3. There will be a Back to School event today at Big Show Auto Finishes located at 2900 West Broad Street in Elizabethtown. The event will take place from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
