Molly Evans and Sophia Masaid fired in two goals each to lead unbeaten Clarkton School of Discovery to a 5-1 Bladen Five Middle School Conference girls soccer victory Monday night over Tar Heel.
Lilly Davis broke the scoring ice with a goal for the Lady Blue Devils in the seventh minute of play. Four minutes later Evans turned a Heather Hardin assist into a goal and a 2-0 Clarkton lead.
Masaid blasted in her first goal in the thirteenth minute then four minutes later Masaid found the back of the net again scoring off an assist from Addie Bowen to push the Lady Blue Devil lead to 4-0 at halftime.
Eva Ayala-Martinez drilled in a penalty kick in the 11th minute of the second half to put Tar Heel on the scoreboard.
Evans knocked in her second goal of the night four minutes later to pad the Lady Blue Devil lead to 5-1.
In last Thursday’s Tar Heel game against Bladenboro, Ayala-Martinez and Yahaira Santana Dominquez scored the goals for the Lady Panthers.
Clarkton remains undefeated with a 4-0 record.
