DUBLIN – Whiteville raced to a 20-9 first quarter lead en route to an 81-54 Three Rivers Conference boys basketball victory over West Bladen Friday night.

Bradley Pridgen threw in two 3-point shots and a pair of 2-point baskets in the opening period, and teammate Cameron Richardson dropped in four more baskets for the Wolfpack.

Senior Scott Bowen drilled in a 3-point shot, and sophmore Tyre Boykin netted a basket for the Knights in the first quarter. Teammates Jimmy Williams and Kerron Baldwin-Washington sank 2 free throws each.

Richardson popped in two more baskets in the second quarter, and Cameron Smith bombed in a 3-point shot and another basket as the Wolfpack lead grew to 37-20 at halftime.

Williams made a trio of free throws in the quarter, and Bowen, Baldwin-Washington and junior Keshawn Lewis added a basket each.

Phillip Powell pumped in a trio of baskets and a free throw, and Pridgen drained a 3-point shot, a basket and 2 free throws as the Wolfpack upped the count to 62-35.

Williams connected on two baskets and four free throws in the third quarter, and Baldwin-Washington nailed a 3-point shot.

Williams buried a 3-point shot, a pair of 2-point shots and two free throws in the final period to finish with a game-high 22 points for the Knights.

Baldwin-Washington delivered a 3-point basket in the fourth quarter and totaled 10 points in the game. Bowen and Lewis scored 6 points each for West.

Pridgen led Whiteville with 19 points, and Richardson totaled 14 points for the Wolfpack. Powell finished with 13 points, and Smith added 10 points.

West Bladen will travel to Union Monday night.
