Dixie Youth BaseballLUMBERTON –Elizabethtown defeated West Robeson American 14-0 Tuesday night in the District 9 Dixie Youth Baseball Coach-Pitch Tournament.

Elizabethtown, the only unbeaten team remaining in the tournament, will play West Robeson National Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m.

Omar Powell led off the Elizabethtown first inning with a single, and Devonte Tatum reached base on an error. Ryker Strickland’s ground ball scored Powell, and Tyler Eason walloped a triple that scored Tatum.

Brady Marlowe hammered a triple that scored Eason, and Cade Rogers’ fielder’s choice plated Marlowe to push the Elizabethtown lead to 4-0.

Seth Faircloth and Fox Sutton smacked singles to start the Elizabethtown second. Jag Gooden reached base on an error that scored Faircloth. Javonte Smith drove in Sutton with a single, and Gunner Lewis belted a single that scored Gooden.

Powell laced a single that scored Smith, and Tatum delivered a single that scored Lewis. Eason smashed a single that drove in Powell and Tatum and ended the inning with Elizabethtown ahead 11-0.

Marlowe swatted a single to begin the Elizabethtown third inning. Rogers blasted a home run that also scored Marlowe. Faircloth rapped a single, and Gooden reached base on an error. Smith knocked in Faircloth with a single that pushed the lead to 14-0.

Eason batted 2-2 with a triple, a run scored and 3 runs batted in. Marlowe finished 2-2 at the plate with a triple, 2 runs scored and an rbi. Powell batted 2-2 with an rbi and 2 runs scored. Faircloth turned in a 2-2 game at the plate with 2 runs scored.

Rogers slugged the home run, drove in 3 runs and scored one. Tatum, Sutton, Smith, and Lewis connected for one hit each. Tatum scored 2 runs, and Sutton, Gooden, Smith and Lewis scored one run each.

Smith drove in 2 runs, and Tatum, Lewis and Strickland had one rbi each.
