LELAND – North Brunswick raced to an early 28-0 lead en route to a 54-14 nonconference football victory over West Bladen on Friday night.

Junior Levi Lindbert raced 24 yards for the first Scorpion touchdown, and senior Robmell Lowery circled right end from 15 yards out for a touchdown. Lowery and senior Gavin McNair tacked on first period touchdowns as the lead grew to 28-0.

Senior Michael Henderson Jr. scooted 55 yards for a punt return touchdown, and Marqis Willis ran 13 yards as the Scorpion lead stretched to 41-0 at halftime.

Senior quarterback Tyre Boykin threw a long pass to junior Shyron Adams that set up Boykin’s 4-yard run for the first Knight touchdown.

Senior Trashawn Ballard scored the second West Bladen touchdown, and Boykin ran the 2-point conversion.

West Bladen will host Red Springs on Friday in a nonconference game.
