FAIRMONT – Fairmont raced to a 28-9 first half lead en route to a 44-24 Three Rivers Conference jayvee boys basketball victory over East Bladen Friday night.
Freshman Malcolm Bolden drove for an Eagle basket, and Malaki Monroe hit a free throw in the first period. Monroe and Bolden tossed in baskets in the second quarter, and Nazire Smith sank 2 free throws.
Bolden fired in 4 baskets in the third quarter, and Monroe dropped in another basket. Smith threw in a basket and a free throw in the final period, and Bolden scored another basket.
Bolden topped the Eagle scoring with 14 points, and Smith and Monroe finished with 5 points each.
East Bladen will host St. Pauls Tuesday night.
