RED SPRINGS – West Bladen junior Keegan Haraldson won the boys cross country tri-meet Friday, and the Lady Knights won the girls team event over host Red Springs and St. Pauls.
Haraldson posted a time of 19:41 that was 46 seconds better than the Red Devils Noah Chavis. West Bladen’s Jacob Bryan finished 17th with a time of 29:43.
Sophomore Lainey Autry led the West Bladen girls with a time of 27 minutes that was good enough for a 4th place finish. Sophomore Kaden Thurman placed 6th with a time of 29:13. Tinyauh Rhoda finished in 7th place with a time of 30:43.
The Lady Knights’ Violet Allen clocked in 5 seconds behind Rhoda in 8th place, and teammate Azillyah McDonald captured the 9th place points with a time of 31:58. West Bladen’s Olivia Allen was in 12th place with a time of 33:57.
The West Bladen girls totaled 34 points to claim their team title. West Bladen will travel to Luther Britt Park in Lumberton on December 2nd for their next meet.
