Yesterday was a ‘stinker’ … weatherwise … cold, damp and smack dab in the middle of a 3-day holiday, weekend … On the positive side, no hot sun to soak-up the moisture Mother Nature provided … a day earlier…
Weather forecast for today, Memorial Day is good, very good. Patchy fog early, otherwise sunny, with a high near 80. Tonight, mostly clear, with a low around 55. Sunny Tuesday, temps in the mid 80s…
Next possibility for rain is Wednesday, and Wednesday night 30% … then 50 to 60% chance Thursday, Friday, Saturday and dropping to 40% Sunday…
Lots of travel today … Be safe…
I think back to years gone by … Remember traveling as a youngster to Ocean Drive in the back of a pick-up truck … Left the pool room in Bladenboro with half dozen or more … before midnight, springtime … All braggin’ about getting in the water and it was cool … So many bets and dares, I had no option but go in the water or ‘pay up’. No towel, wet cold clothing … took all day long to dry-out … It was a stupid mistake, but necessary … Learned an important lesson … You can easily overload yourself in a short time … showing off … Maybe I didn’t learn as much as I should have…
