Bladen County VolleyballWest Bladen’s five-game winning streak ended Tuesday night as Wallace-Rose Hill defeated the visiting Lady Knights 3-0 in Four County Conference volleyball action by game scores of 25-18, 25-21, and 25-23.

Senior Lorna Smith topped the West Bladen scoring with 10 service points, 2 aces, a kill and a dig. Junior Morgan Schumacher hammered in 5 kills, 3 blocks and 7 service points.

Junior Logan Autry finished with 4 service points, a kill and an assist for the Lady Knights. Junior Kassidy Anderson knocked in 2 aces, a kill and 3 service points.

Junior Kathryn Schultz contributed 2 service points, 2 kills, a dig and half of a block for West. Junior Laikyn Pait followed with 2 service points, a kill and a block. Teammate Kaylee Stevens added a dig.

“The girls are looking better,” said Lady Knight Coach Gaye Davis. “They need to have more self confidence in themselves because they have the skills to be a great team.”

West Bladen is now 1-1 in Four County play and 5-3 overall. The Lady Knights will host Pender Tuesday.
