Purnell Swett defeated West Bladen 30-22 Tuesday night in non-conference jayvee boys basketball action at Pembroke. It was the season opener for the Knights.
Freshman Kerron Washington led the Knight offense with 10 points and 4 steals. Teammate Gerardo Reyes finished with 7 points, 2 rebounds and a steal.
Andrew Harris grabbed 5 rebounds for West Bladen, and teammate Jaheim Lesane was credited with 3 steals.
