LELAND – A 6-run fifth-inning propelled North Brunswick to a 13-6 non-conference baseball victory over West Bladen Monday night.
The Scorpions built a 6-0 lead before the Knights rallied with 4 runs in the fourth inning, but North Brunswick widened the gap to 12-4 in the fifth.
Junior Nolan Bryant knocked in 2 runs with a pair of doubles to lead the Knight hitters. Senior teammate David Valenta batted 2-3 and drove in a run. Junior Braylon Williamson slammed a double to drive in a run.
Senior Thomas West was the pitcher of record for the Knights.
West Bladen will travel to East Columbus Tuesday night for a 6 p.m. game.
