Lauren Bowen and Kayleigh Raynor combined to pitch a no-hitter and strike out 8 batters to lead the Glory to a 16-1 victory over the Racers Tuesday at County Park.

Bowen worked the first 2 innings in the circle and struck out six. Raynor pitched the final inning and struck out two.

The Glory scored once in the bottom of the first inning. Raynor belted a 2-out single and circled the bases on a stolen base and 2 wild pitches.

Grace West drew a walk in the top of the second, Amber Jones was hit by a pitch, and Cheyanne Merritt walked to load the bases. Kayla Bell was hit by a pitch with 2 outs to force home West with the tying run.

The Glory pulled away with 15 runs in the second and third innings. In the second, Merritt Martin, Hannah Cole, Luz Ramos, and Weslyn Hall drew consecutive walks and scored runs. Lachelle Parks cracked a 2-run single, and Bowen ripped a 2-run double.

Raynor drove in Bowen with a single, before Alyssa Futrell walloped a 2-run homer to left-centerfield. Katie Evans smacked a single and circled the bases on stolen bases and wild pitches.

In the Glory third inning, Martin, Cole, Ramos, and Parks drew walks and scored runs. Hall was hit by a pitch and scored. Bowen cleaned the bases with a 3-run double, and Raynor walloped a triple to drive in a run and end the game on the mercy rule.

Raynor batted 3-3 with a triple, 2 runs batted in and 3 runs scored. Bowen finished 2-3 at the plate with 2 doubles, 5 rbi’s and 2 runs scored. Parks was 2-2 with 2 rbi’s and 2 runs scored.

Futrell slugged the 2-run homer. Evans cracked a single and scored a run. Merritt, Cole, Ramos and Hall scored 2 runs each.

West had a run scored for the Racers, and Bell had an rbi.
