Bladen County Seal with In God We Trust 1The Bladen County Board of Commissioners will meet on Monday night at 6:30 p.m. in the Commissioners Meeting room in the Bladen County Courthouse.

There are numerous items on the consent agenda for approval. They include:

Budget Amendments, County Attorney Invoices,Tax Releases and Refunds No. 6-16, Designation of Chairman Priest as Voting Delegate to NCACC Annual Conference, Annual Agreement between BARTS and NC Department of Transportation for FY 2016-17, Agreement for Clinical Affiliation between Bladen County EMS and Bladen Community College, Forest Service Agreement with the State of North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for FY 2016-17, Lease Agreement with North Carolina Department of Public Safety,

Appropriation to 10U and 14U Girls Softball All-Star Teams, Time Warner Cable Agreement for Internet Service at Bridger Memorial Library and Clarkton Public Library, Sheriff’s Office Agreement with Bladen Community College, Rural Fire Department Funding Agreement and Automatic Aid Agreement for FY 2016-17, Municipal Fire Department Funding Agreement and Automatic Aid Agreement for FY 2016-17, Emergency Medical Services Department and Automatic Aid Agreement for FY 2016-17, Annual Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) & Crisis Intervention Program Outreach Plan, Time Warner Cable Internet and Telephone Service Agreement for Emergency Training Center, USMC Request to Collect Overhead Photographs and Remote Sensed Data, USMC Maneuver Permit, Resolution to Declare Certain Property Surplus, NC Cardinal Migration Agreement for FY 2016-17, Equinox Subscription Agreement Regarding the NC Cardinal Migration Grant Agreement for FY 2016-17, and State Library of North Carolina NC Cardinal Memorandum of Agreement Regarding the NC Cardinal Migration Grant Agreement for FY 2016-17.

The board is also expected to recognize county employees for their years of service followed by a reception.

General Services Manager Kip McClary will be introduced to the board; the board will meet in session as the Bladen County Water District Board to consider a letter of agreement for engineering services regarding the Phase IV Preliminary Engineering Report and Environmental Report and to consider approving a USDA application to fund Phase IV Expansion Project. 

Bladen County Tax Administrator Renee Davis will appear before the board to present an item regarding the approval of a bid on a foreclosed property located at 7390 Center Road.

Finance Director Lisa Coleman will present the financial dashboard for the period ending June 30, 2016.

Health and Human Services Director David Howard will present the board with an update on the county’s Home Health program and present for renewal agreements regarding the Young Families Connect program.

Bladen County Emergency Services Director Bradley Kinlaw will present an item for approval regarding a regional incident management mutual aid agreement.

The board will consider two advisory board appointments —The Child Fatality/Protection team and the White Lake Planning and Zoning (ETJ).

Bladen County Manager Greg Martin will present calendar updates and an agreement for engineering services on Lock and Dam No. 2 and No. 3 fishway construction project.

The board will also hold a closed session for a matter of client attorney privilege.
