Bladen County Headlines... 35 Years AgoThree towns in Bladen County received water grants from the state. They were Elizabethtown $37,250, White Lake $51,433, and Bladenboro $16,250.

Melinda Grady was elected Miss Bladen County during the event sponsored by the Elizabethtown Jaycees.

Due to a late spring freeze the Bladen County blueberry crop was a complete disaster.

The Clarkton Tobacco Market and the entire Border Belt Market was set to open.
