Elizabethtown, NC – – On Friday, October 6, 2023, the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office hosted a significant event that marked the addition of two dedicated professionals to their team and celebrated the remarkable achievement of another staff member. The Oath of Office ceremony was a momentous occasion for the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office community, as it brought together the old and the new in a spirit of dedication and service.
Arody Lopez Gonzalez Takes Oath as Full-Time Detention Officer
One of the highlights of the ceremony was the swearing-in of Arody Lopez Gonzalez as a full-time Detention Officer. Joining the ranks of the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office, Gonzalez brings a commitment to serving the community and ensuring the safety of all residents. Owen Alexander Peavy Returns as Full-Time School Resource Officer
Owen Alexander Peavy also received a warm welcome back to the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office as he was officially sworn in as a full-time School Resource Officer. Having served previously in this vital role, Peavy’s return demonstrates his dedication to supporting the youth of Bladen County, fostering positive relationships, and ensuring the safety of students and school staff.
Deputy Shella Y. Stephens Achieves Criminal Justice General Instructor Certification
In addition to welcoming the new staff members, the ceremony was a moment to celebrate the remarkable achievement of Deputy Shella Y. Stephens. She was recognized for successfully obtaining her Criminal Justice General Instructor Certification. This accomplishment signifies her commitment to excellence in law enforcement training and her dedication to the ongoing development of her skills and knowledge.
