Bladen Crisis Assistance gives thanks

What is school spirit? Sometimes the students make it crystal clear. The 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders at Harrells Christian Academy collected nonperishable food items for Bladen Crisis Assistance (BCA) as part of their spirit week according to Rev. Dr. Chris Denny, President of BCA. “Thank you to Harrells Christian Academy!” Denny said.

Denny estimated the students donated about one and a half tons of food to the food pantry ministry at BCA. “The students’ generosity will help feed many people in Bladen county. Thank you, Harrells! Thank God for you! Green and Gold is generous and bold.” Denny exclaimed enthusiastically.

Food bags are given out on Thursday mornings by volunteers at the Food Pantry of Bladen Crisis Assistance (BCA) to help those in Bladen County in need. The Food Pantry is one of the ministries of BCA.

According to Denny, other ministries of BCA include financial assistance in times of crisis, the thrift store in Elizabethtown, and a long term disaster recovery team. BCA is a collaborative ministry of churches in Bladen County. Serving Christ; serving our county — extending God’s love to our neighbors.
