On Friday, May 6, 2022, the first Bladen Crisis fundraiser will take place. Barbeque plates will be available for purchase at the event, which will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church in Elizabethtown, NC. BBQ, Coleslaw, baked beans, and hushpuppies will be included in each plate for $8.00. Tickets are now being sold through Bladen Crisis Thrift and BCA partner churches. Big Moe’s and Smithfield offered sponsorship for the event.
Due to the pandemic, fundraising efforts had been stalled. As a result, this fundraising is essential in replenishing resources used by Bladen Crisis to help citizens in Bladen County. All proceeds will be used by Bladen Crisis, in partnership with the Bladen County Department of Social Services, to provide assistance to citizens who are going through a difficult time.
