Here are results from Saturday’s games in the Bladen County Recreation Department youth football leagues played at Bladen County Park.
7-9 Tackle League: Hurricanes 20, Wolfpack 0
Three different players ran for touchdowns as the Hurricanes defeated the Wolfpack 20-0 in 7-9 Tackle League football action.
Timothy Cain bolted 22 yards for the first Hurricane touchdown, and DeVance Tatum tossed a pass to Graylon Robbins for the conversion and a 7-0 lead.
Prince McKoy raced 50 yards for the second Hurricane touchdown and Tatum carried into the end zone for the conversion and a 14-0 lead. Isaiah Lloyd broke through the line and galloped 70 yards for the final Hurricane touchdown.
The Hurricanes raised their league-leading record to 4-0.
10-12 Tackle League: Crimson Tide 20, Bears 0
Keyshawn Kemp ran for a pair of touchdowns to lead the Crimson Tide to a 20-0 victory over the Bears in 10-12 Tackle Football League action.
Claxton Tatum threw a 22-yard touchdown pass to Torrean Cogdell for the first Crimson Tide touchdown. Gavin Elks sprinted to the left pylon for the conversion and a 7-0 lead.
Kemp raced 48 yards for his first touchdown that grew the lead to 13-0. Kemp later broke free for another 48-yard touchdown run. Kemp also bulled into the end zone for the conversion and a 20-0 lead.
The Crimson Tide improved to 2-3 on the season with the victory.
