Bladen UNITY Fest is a three-day event that will include a networking event, carnival day, and gospel outreach. The UNITY Fest is presented by QT Vision Studio and Melanin Magic Trap. The up-and-coming organization is founded by two West Bladen High School alumni, Qualynn McDowell and Jermail Rogers.

The weekend event begins on Friday, September 3rd, 2021. The event for Friday is a “Trap Vision” Networking Brunch that will include special guest speakers, brunch catered by Chef Court Curbside Cuisine, live performances, an art gallery, and a fashion show. Topics discussed by the guest speakers will be How To Start A Business 101, Branding/Marketing 101, Credit Awareness, and Mental Health Check.

Day two, CommUNITY Carnival Day, entails live performances, free food for kids, a pop-up shop with local businesses, games, and entertainment. There is no cost for entry, but the event organizers ask that you bring donations of school supplies.

The final event of the weekend is “Gospel Fest Xplosion.” This is an opportunity for the community to come together for outreach to spread the love of God. There will be free food and fully stocked book bags for children. Thanks to the support of Unity Fest 2020, Unity Fest Inc. was able to donate over 90 school supply filled book bags to East and West Bladen High Schools and local youth in North Carolina, and they plan to make it happen again this year.
