There was singing, caroling, cookies and hot chocolate at the Bladenboro Farmers Market on Friday night. And, of course, Santa Claus was there. It was all to set the stage for the lighting of the town’s Christmas tree about a half-block away.
Mayor Rufus Duckworth led the lighting of the tree, which is located at the intersection of N.C. 211 and N.C. 410.
The Bladenboro Christmas Parade is scheduled Saturday through downtown. It begins at 10:30 a.m.
