An open forum, regular board meeting will take place at Bladenboro Town Hall on Monday, September 13th.

As always, the meeting will begin with a call to order, invocation, and the Pledge of Allegiance to the American flag. Next, the consent agenda includes approval of agenda items, approval of the minutes, approval of departmental reports, and approval of budget amendments.

Following the consent agenda, two presentations are scheduled: One with Dale Blue-Singletary and Dr. Shaun Hines on the Spaulding Monroe Cultural Center in Bladenboro, and one with David Strum on water and sewer operations.

Old business to be discussed includes the Boost the Boro stage project completion.

Eight new business items are on the agenda. These items include Consideration of approving Memorandum of Understanding for Senior Nutrition Program, Consideration of financing new police vehicle, Discussion of request to close Anne Street, Consideration to provide the upkeep of three ballfields and equipment maintenance with A. J. Bordeaux, Approval of Proclamation to recognize Halloween on Saturday, October 30th, “Acknowledgement of Support” Street banners acknowledging sponsors for Beast Fest – Boost-the-Boro, Consideration to close West Railroad Street during Beast Fest activities – Boost-the-Boro, Beast Fest Softball Tournament fundraiser on September 24th & 25th at Wateree Park, and clean-up date scheduled for September 18th at 8:00 am at Wateree Park.

When new business discussion has closed, the town administrator’s report, non-voting matters of interest to board members, and a closed personnel session will take place, leading up to adjournment.
