The next Bladen County Board of Commissioners meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 7th, 2021 at Bladen County Courthouse in the Commissioners’ Room at 6:30 pm. The meeting can be accessed remotely by calling 571-317-3122, access code 377-006-581.

Maria C. Edwards, Clerk to the Board and Assistant of the Bladen County Manager, shared the agenda with Bladen Online today. Agendas for meetings of the Board of Commissioners are prepared and distributed by the Office of the County Manager. Official minutes and agendas are maintained in the Office of the County Manager and may be viewed weekdays, between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. They are also available online.

The agenda includes and is not limited to, reading of the minutes, budget amendments, county attorney invoices, holiday schedules, Cooperative Service Agreement with USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspections (APHIS), Wildlife Services Regarding the Beaver Management Assistance Program, additional positions for Child Protective Services, additional registered nurses, stream debris removal project, and COVID19 Emergency Response Revision Number Two.

In addition, a public hearing regarding the Community Transportation Program will take place. Individuals will have an opportunity to address commissioners, before moving on to matters of interest to the commissioners, where an additional public hearing will be requested for a later date. Emergency Services, Bladen County Health Department, Economic Development, Bladen County Water District, and advisory board appointments will follow.

County Manager Greg Martin will give a calendar review and digital inclusion plan update, then make two proposals to the board.

Individuals will have a final opportunity to address the board, and adjournment will follow.
