ROSE HILL – A furious West Bladen rally produced 3 goals in the final 17 minutes as the Knights battled back from a 3-0 deficit to tie Union 3-3 Tuesday night in non-conference boys soccer action Tuesday night.

The Spartans scored 2 goals in the 1st half and added another one with 28:09 left in the game.

Sophomore Kevyn De La Cruz Labra ignited the Knight comeback by banging in a goal with 16:41 remaining to play. A minute and 40 seconds later, De La Cruz Labra struck again with another goal to trim the margin to 3-2.

Sophomore Christopher Ramirez Labra turned an assist from sophomore Aiden Russ into the game-tying goal with 11:22 on the clock.

“I am pleased with the mentality and the determination to comeback and finish it,” said Knight Coach Kristen Parker. “It all came down to the desire at the end.”

Junior Oswaldo Gonzalez-Lopez came up with 5 saves in goal for West Bladen. De La Cruz Labra sparked the Knight offense with 4 shots on goal. Ramirez Labra and Joshua DeLeon fired off 2 shots each.

The Knights, now 4-3-1, will host rival East Bladen Monday night.
