WHITEVILLE – Whiteville built a 2-0 halftime lead en route to a 6-2 non-conference boys’ soccer victory over West Bladen Wednesday.
Sophomore Daniel Gustafson fired in the first Knight goal on a free kick. Junior Joshua DeLeon drilled in the second West Bladen goal from outside the 18-yard line.

“It was a tough loss tonight,” said Knight Coach Cesar Gonzalez. “This is a really good group that we have, but we are very young – only 3 seniors. We played much better tonight than in our first game.”
The Knights are scheduled to open Three Rivers Conference play at West Columbus on Feb. 22nd.
