The Cape Fear River is beginning to fall in Bladen County. The river is expected to drop below flood stage at the William O. Huske Lock and Dam No. 3 in Tar Heel and at the William O. Huske Lock and Dam No. 2 in Elizabethtown on Tuesday. The river is forecast to drop below flood stage overnight Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
