West Bladen junior Chase Williams has been named to the 2023-24 North Carolina Basketball Coaches Association Boys All-District First Team for District 2.
Williams, a 6-foot-7 forward, averaged 17.5 points, 9 rebounds, 2.2 blocked shots and 2.6 assists as he helped lead the Knights to a 24-2 record. The Knights were co-champions of the Southeastern Athletic Conference regular season and were the SAC Tournament Champions.
Williams scored 20 points or more in 11 games and reached double figures in 25 of the Knights 26 games. He poured in a season-high 30 points in a 63-40 win over East Bladen. Williams grabbed double-figure rebounds in 9 games and pulled down a season-high 19 rebounds in a 50-29 win over East Bladen.
In the Bladen OffRoad Christmas Tournament, Williams averaged 23 points a game as the Knights claimed the tournament title. Williams was named the Sayaun Dent Most Valuable Player for that tournament.
