KODAK, TN – Bladenboro’s Clint Allen slammed a run-scoring double in his final game at Coker College Thursday night as the Cobras lost their South Atlantic Conference Baseball Tournament play-in game to Carson-Newman 4-3.

The game was tied 1-1 when Allen ripped a double to left-centerfield that drove in A. J. Strnad with the go-ahead run. The senior leftfielder advanced on a wild pitch and raced home on Brooks Estrada’s sacrifice fly to put Coker up 3-1.

The Eagles tied the game with two runs in the sixth and scored the winning run in the eighth inning.

Allen finished the season with a .261 batting average and .333 slugging percentage. The West Bladen grad scored 28 runs, drove in 22 runs and slugged 5 doubles and one home run.

The Cobras finished their season with a 22-23 record.
