Facility Closed for Months Due to Hurricane Matthew

FAYETTEVILLE – This morning, Congressman Robert Pittenger (NC-09) unpacked boxes and hung pictures in his permanent Fayetteville office.

Located in the Post Office Building in downtown Fayetteville, the facility had been closed since last October due to flooding from Hurricane Matthew.

“We are excited to finally unpack.  At the same time, we recognize there are still families in Cumberland, Robeson, and Bladen waiting for necessary FEMA or HUD assistance to rebuild or repair their homes,” said Congressman Pittenger.  On Thursday, I’m meeting with the Office of Management and Budget to discuss North Carolina’s remaining disaster recovery needs.  We’ve been engaged since I-95 was still underwater, and we will see this through.”

Congressman Pittenger’s Fayetteville office is located at 301 Green St., Suite 315, in the Post Office Building.  Hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., though constituents are encouraged to call ahead as staff will regularly be out of the office at community meetings.  For questions or more information, please contact Jake Cashwell in Congressman Pittenger’s Fayetteville office at 910-303-0669 or jake.cashwell@mail.house.gov.
