The Bladen County Health Department released a COVID-19 update on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. According to the update, the positive percentage has surpassed the North Carolina positive percentage.

Dr. Teresa Duncan, Bladen County Health and Human Services Director, stated in the release, “Vaccination, wearing masks, social distancing, and handwashing continue to be effective tools in response to covid. Having your booster vaccination decreased the risk of hospitalization by 81%!”
