The planning committee for the Crazy Fun 5K Color Run and Walk presented a check to the United Way of Bladen County representing the amount of $4,408.61 the amount raised by the event.
“I believe that other members of the committee would agree that we are excited about the results of this year’s event and grateful to the community for supporting United Way of Bladen County and the Crazy Fun Color Run & Walk,” said Stacie Kinlaw.

Receiving the check on behalf of the United Way of Bladen County are Ann Garrett and Barbara Knight.
Other members of the planning committee are Cathy Kinlaw; Carol Strickland and Maryanne Valentiner of the Bladen County Health Department; and Kayla Brianne and Britt Huggins of Young Families Connect; and Tiina Mundy of Bladen Community College; and Angela Shaver.
Kinlaw said there was great response in terms of volunteers. Volunteer assistance at the event was provided by the Boy Scouts, Keyettes of East Bladen High School, and the Vertical Church, said Kinlaw.
