FAIRMONT- West Bladen’s Demon’tre Love finished 5th in the boys race for the 2nd Southeastern Athletic Conference meet in a row, and junior Lainey Autry placed 8th in the girls race Wednesday.
Love lowered his time by over 2 minutes finishing in 21 minutes, 15 seconds. Teammate Jaiden Ward was 38th with a time of 40:05.
It was Autry’s 1st meet of the season, and she completed the course in 30 minutes, 21 seconds to record the 8th best time. Sophomore Brookee Singletary sliced 4 minutes off of her time from a week ago and claimed 11th place with a time of 31:10.
Other West Bladen runners included: junior Kaden Thurman, 19th (33:58; Olivia Allen, 20th (34:02); Violet Allen, 21st (34:10).
Coach Brian McCleney’s Knights will travel to Red Springs Wednesday for their next meet.
