ROCKY POINT – East Bladen senior Sabara McLean finished 11th in the Heide Trask cross country #1 meet Tuesday. Two Eagle boys and 2 Eagle girls competed in the 5-team meet.
Sabara McLean posted a time of 28 minutes, 57.19 seconds. Freshman Scarlett McLean of Lejeune won the girls’ race with a time of 23:07.68. East Bladen’s Jamiya Peterson placed 49th in 51:02.48.
East Bladen senior Jacob Caulder finished 37th in the boys’ race in 27:16.7. Teammate Hunter Demery was 49th with a time of 34:34.98. Lejeune sophomore Matthew Barbabella won the boys’ race posting a time of 17:34.58.
Other teams competing besides Lejeune, included Pender, Southeastern HomeSchool and Heide Trask.
