Led by an experienced park ranger, this program will delve into the biology, habits, and survival strategies of these fascinating creatures. As the “king of the forest,” the black bear plays a crucial role in the ecosystem. Participants will meet at the Jones Lake State Park Visitor Center at 2:00 pm. This eye-opening experience is free to the public. On March 16th, explore the diverse snake species that call this region home, including which ones are venomous and how to identify them. This informative session at the Visitor Center will enhance your understanding and appreciation of these often-misunderstood reptiles. The event starts at 2pm and is open to all, free of charge.
