LUMBERTON – Maycee Kinlaw pitched a 2-hitter and struck out 6 batters to lead Bladenboro to a 4-1 victory over the Lumberton Tigers Monday night. The Lumberton run was unearned.

Allison Hickman reached base on a passed 3rd strike to start the game and raced all the way to 3rd base on an error. Hickman dashed home on a passed ball. Kinlaw laced a single to right field, stole 2nd base and sprinted home on a throwing error by the catcher for a 2-0 Bladenboro lead.

Adyson Carroll smacked a 1-out single to center field in the Tiger 2nd inning. Carroll stole 2nd base then darted to 3rd base on a passed ball. After Chloe Walters walked, Carroll scooted home on another passed ball for a 3-0 lead.

Walters, Kristen Singletary and Alyssia Singletary all drew walks in the Bladenboro 5th inning. Hailli Andrews beat out a bunt single that scored Walters and pushed the lead to 4-1.

Kinlaw, Carroll and Andrews collected 1 hit each for Bladenboro. Andrews drove in a run. Hickman, Kinlaw, Carroll and Walters scored 1 run each.

Bladenboro improves to 3-0 and is scheduled to play a doubleheader in Leland Sunday beginning at 2 p.m. against the South Lady Sharks and the North Lady Stingers.
