LUMBERTON – Maycee Kinlaw pitched a 2-hitter, and a 5-run 4th inning carried Bladenboro to a 5-2 victory over the Lumberton Tigers in Dixie Belles softball action Monday night.

Kinlaw allowed 2 unearned runs on 2 hits and 6 walks while striking out 8 in her 5 innings in the circle for the winners.

Kinlaw and Addison Wilcox reached base on infield hits in the Bladenboro 4th inning. Brenna Hester’s infield hit scored Kinlaw. Hadley Dove reached base on a passed 3rd strike and an error on the play scored Wilcox and Hester. Adyson Carroll knocked in Dove with a single to left field. Carroll stole 2nd and 3rd bases and scored on Chloe Walters’ fielder’s choice for a 5-0 lead.

A single, an error and a passed ball resulted in 2 Lumberton runs in the bottom of the inning.

Allison Hickman, Kinlaw, Wilcox, Hester, and Carroll collected 1 hit each for Bladenboro. Hester, Carroll and Walters drove in 1 run each. Kinlaw, Wilcox, Hester, Dove and Carroll scored 1 run each.

Bladenboro improved to 4-0 and will travel to Leland Sunday to for games against the West Lady Cardinals and the West Lady Tide beginning at 2 p.m.
