East Bladen football had good numbers for both varsity and jayvee Monday evening for the first day of official football practice.

“Practice went good,” said Coach Robby Priest. “We were able to get outside despite the rain.”

Assistant Coach Terry Smith noted that the Eagles had 31 varsity players and 23 jayvees that were able to practice and a few more who didn’t have their physicals yet. “It was nice and cool,” said Coach Smith.

The Eagles claimed a share of the Three Rivers Conference championship last year and posted a 12-2 record while reaching the third round of the Class 2A play-offs.
