The East Columbus at East Bladen high school football scheduled for Friday has been moved to Monday, Sept. 25 at 6 p.m. because of expected inclement weather on Friday.

The Waccamaw Conference game will be played at Lenon Fisher Stadium. It will be East Bladen’s homecoming game.

East Bladen is 1-0 in the conference, 2-3 overall. The Eagles are coming off a 40-15 victory against South Columbus.

East Columbus is 0-1 in conference play following its 36-0 loss Monday against Pender. The Gators are 1-4 overall with its lone win coming Aug. 18 against Jones Senior 62-0.

East Bladen has won eight of nine meetings against the Gators, including a 55-12 decision in the 2019 season. East Columbus’ lone win, an 18-0 score, came in 2012. The Eagles have scored at least 45 points in six of their victories.

This is the homecoming football game for East Bladen High School. The East Bladen Homecoming Parade scheduled for Friday in downtown Elizabethtown has also been postponed until Monday.
