The Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerece released it’s weekly newsletter this past Monday. The newsletter came with an invitation.

Bladen’s Blooming, Bladen County, Bladen County Community College, the town of Elizabethtown and the Elizabethtown – White Lake Chamber of Commerce invite everyone to attend the Grand Opening of the Elizabethtown Small Business Incubator on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 4-6pm.

According to one of the Mountain To the Sea Trail coordinators, more of this trail is being completed in Bladen County. MST Volunteers will be installing posts and blazing the MST in Bladen Lakes State Forest on Friday, January 24 from 10AM – 2PM. Wear closed-toe shoes and appropriate clothes and bring work gloves, water and a packed lunch. Tools will be available. Meet at the entrance to Bladen Lakes State Forest on Salters Lake Trail off Ruskin Road at 10 am. Please register if you are able to help so we can plan accordingly.
The Chamber is searching for a photographer who would work with us on visual needs in exchange for a membership. Please contact the office if you are interested.
A meeting of the White Lake Water Festival Committee will be held on Tuesday, January 28 at 5:30pm in the White Lake Town Hall. Everyone is invited to participate. Please join us as we begin planning this year’s festival.
Bladen CC Small Business Center is offering a series of courses on non-profit management. Anyone interested in the program can attend either on-campus or by webinar. All classes are on Tuesdays from 6:00-8PM. Call 910-879-5572 for more info:

The 2020 Census will be here in just a few weeks, and Census jobs are still available.  The US Census Bureau released an interactive map showing the recruitment status, and North Carolina is behind. Anyone who is interested in a temporary Census job with flexible hours and good pay can apply online at https://2020census.gov/en/jobs.html .
