BUIES CREEK – Elizabethtown native Rogers Clark started at defensive tackle Saturday for Campbell University and was credited with 3 tackles as the Camels rolled to a 59-7 victory over Bluefield College, VA.
Clark, a 6-1, 265-pound senior, made one solo tackle, assisted on 2 more tackles and had a quarterback hurry.
Last season Clark started 5 games for the Camels and recorded 23 tackles that included 7 tackles for loss and 3 sacks plus 2 quarterback hurries. Clark was named an All-Pioneer Football League Honorable Mention and was named to the Pioneer Football League Academic Honor Roll.
The game was originally scheduled for Thursday night but was postponed by severe weather and moved to Saturday afternoon.
