This weekend will be filled with plenty of opportunities to enjoy the fall weather.
On Saturday morning the Annual NC Grape Festival will begin at 9 a.m. and will continue until 3 p.m. No payment is needed to attend. Vendor spaces will be available and booth spaces are free. The Grape Stomp Competition will begin at 10 a.m. and there is no cost to enter. For more information, please either call 910-866-5819 or go to www.lumilvineyard.com.
Also on Saturday, the Mother County Genealogical Society will be having a meeting at the Bladenboro Historical Society Building. Terry Smith will be speaking about Colonel James Gillespie who was a delegate to the 1776 Halifax Convention. The Bladen Historical Society Building is located at 801 S. Main Street in Bladenboro.
Clarkton Dixie Youth Baseball will be hosting a annual fundraiser full of music on Saturday evening. The tickets will be $10 dollars per person at the gate. The tickets will also be pre-sold at $10 dollars each or $15 dollars a couple. The event will be held at the Clarkton DYB Complex located at 395 Perimeter Road, Clarkton, and gates will open at 4 p.m. For more information, contact Frankie Burney at 910-874-4488.
